Hairstyling! Who would have thought?

So we were lying in bed chatting on Friday night, or driving somewhere - I can't remember now, when the conversation somehow turned to hairstyles.  All of a sudden hubby says to me "you must think about what hairstyle our boy is going to have!" I then immediately said 'NOT a mullet'.  We both laughed and then hubby said I must remember his hair is really wavy.  So I said oh boy, thick, dry, wavy hair here we come, and I hope that he has my hair.  A while later he joked and said he's waiting for the day his boy wants to grow his hair, and I said yeah, all you have to do is show him your ID photo and he'll never do that!

Who would have thought, my hubby is worrying about the baby's hair already!  That, and how many nappies we will be going through.

Disappearing Act

I love lying in bed in the early mornings, and at night - because I get to feel my baby boy moving around, and kicking...  he's started getting really busy!

Last night hubby got into bed and I told him to feel because the baby is really busy, and when he put his hand there, it stopped.  Nothing!  He kept it there for a while... so after a while he took his hand away and I put mine back there, and the moving started again.  I laughed and said he's moving again!  Hubby frowned and said the baby doesn't like him or his hand... I think maybe his hand was a bit colder, or felt a bit different, or baby doesn't know what his daddy's touch feels like just yet.  But - he knows mine!

This happened 3 times last night!

Our First Things for Baby

So we haven't bought a thing to date, but we officially have our first few things...my step sis and mom in law spoilt us

Large baby blanket thick and soft, white with green edging
Small baby blanket with with little cats, dogs and mice on (think it's a receiving blanket?)
Baby grows x 3 (white, yellow newborn size, green 0-3 months)
A pregnancy journal/ magazine
Shampoo with pump top
Some nice smelling soaps for me :)
A bag of books to borrow!  Including one for hubby.  Actually I'm so proud!  I've never seen him read a book thicker than a magazine and he's actually been reading "What nobody tells new Fathers".
